Brooding Angels

Scabs form over memories
taking away the sting
but reflection is fingers
flying around
picking and peeling

The wind beneath their wings
stills into dark corners
desire, hunger
demands flight
but somehow it asphyxiates
into stillness
grappling between memories
and dreams

brooding angels never
did find happy endings

Inspired while washing dishes.
I started this another day and I thought it was complete, but somehow I didn’t feel like posting it up. Today, I added the middle, it feels complete.
